Air flow is paramount, so make sure that your machine has plenty of ventilation and that there is no lint buildup outside the dryer vents to ensure that the air is flowing correctly. 

Before ringing a professional, there are a few tips that may help to resolve the problem. Dryers love ventilation. They need plenty of air moving around and through them to make them operate effectively. Make sure that if possible, nearby doors or windows are open and the dryer is not in a position that restricts air flow (eg a cupboard – looks great but often bad for ventilation).

Also, make sure that all the filters are cleaned after every use. This is again designed to ensure maximum air flow through the dryer.
